In 2000 Keith Gallagher made the decision
to build a big truck, over the next five years that truck evolved
into what now is the worlds coolest stretched limo. The
Freedom Express has become the flagship for Stretched American
Steel, Gallaghers newest business endeavor, building classic
truck limos. After his appearance on KOLD New 13 with Dan Marries,
Gallagher found himself thrown into the spotlight with hundreds
of phone calls and media outlets wanting appearances by Keith
and his big red truck. The attention has prompted the production
of the television series Stretched American Steel.
The show consists of Keith and his crew
of talented fabricators going threw the labor of creating these
one of a kind size limos. New and challenging endeavors fill
each episode with highlights of the production and the life
around the shop. From heated tempers to celebrations, theres
never a dull moment.
Videotaped in beautiful Picture
Rocks, Arizona the backdrop for Stretched American Steel is
Saguaro National Monument and the Tucson Mountains. From time
to time you will see wildlife and scenery native only to the
Desert Southwest.
The current project The Gambler is
well under way with progress going much more quickly than that
of the Freedom Express. John Hitchcock Keiths shop foreman
and lead body man on the crew is reluctant to give a completion
date of the new truck, but says, Id be surprised
if we get it done at all.
